Formerly Sage Gateshead, the Foster + Partners-designed complex opened in December 2004 and features a curved glass and steel roof sheltering three distinct performance spaces. It hosts classical, folk, jazz, rock, pop, and indie live music, and serves as the home of Royal Northern Sinfonia.
