Live music

L'Olympia is a legendary concert venue and the oldest music hall in Paris, inaugurated on April 12, 1893, by Joseph Oller, one of the co-creators of the Moulin Rouge. [2, 6, 23] Located in the 9th arrondissement, it has a rich history, initially featuring acrobats, cross-dressers, and can-can performances. [2, 23] After a period as a cinema, it reopened as a music hall in 1954 under the direction of Bruno Coquatrix, solidifying its reputation as a prestigious stage for both French and international artists. [2, 6, 23, 24] It has hosted iconic figures such as Édith Piaf, Jacques Brel, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Billie Holiday, and countless others. [2, 6, 9, 14, 24] The venue was rebuilt in 1997, preserving its original facade and famous red interior.
