City Varieties Music Hall

About the venue

Leeds' oldest working theatre and the Guinness World Record holder for the nation's longest running music hall [3, 8]. Established in 1865, it is a living homage to the music hall era [2, 3]. The Varieties has hosted stars from Charlie Chaplin and Houdini to Russell Crowe [5, 7, 8]. It also served as the venue for the BBC television program The Good Old Days [5].
