About the event
The Austrailian pop powerhouse, Tia Gostelow, returns to the UK for the first time in 5 years for an intimate show at Folklore Hoxton on the 19th September. This is bound to be a magical night that would won't want to miss!
Australian indie pop artist Tia Gostelow has always embraced change, with her music reflecting a journey of growth and transformation. At 16, she burst onto the scene with her debut single “State of Art,” winning Triple J’s Unearthed High Indigenous Initiative. Her debut album, Thick Skin (2018), went GOLD and features the PLATINUM single “Strangers,” earning her the Queensland Music Award for Album of the Year. Tia’s second album CHRYSALIS (2020) unveiled a new disco-pop direction and reached #1 on the AIR charts, followed by high-profile performances with Lewis Capaldi and Dermot Kennedy. In 2023, her third album Head Noise captured the emotional chaos of youth with dreamy vocals and vibrant pop hooks. Throughout 2024, she released a new single every month. She performed internationally at Reeperbahn Festival, as well as supporting The Last Dinner Party, and landmark Australian events such as Vivid Sydney and the Australian Open. Now in 2025, Tia has relocated to London to begin writing her fourth studio album. Immersing herself in the city’s creative energy, she continues to explore new sonic territory—collaborating with UK-based artists and shaping the next phase of her artistic evolution. Recognised for her genre-fluid evolution and warm, magnetic voice, Tia has been praised as “one of Australia’s most consistently impressive pop songwriters” (The Guardian) and “a chameleonic pop force” (Rolling Stone Australia).
