The Future Is Sound brings a full day of live music, performance and conversation to the Barbican, looking at where music, technology and culture are heading. You'll hear pioneering electronic musicians, immersive sound artists and cultural leaders across two sessions. The day closes with a rare on-stage conversation between electronic music pioneer Suzanne Ciani and musician and artist Beatie Wolfe.

Suzanne Ciani is a pioneer of electronic music and a five-time Grammy nominee. Beatie Wolfe is a musician and artist whose work brings together music, art and technology and has recently released three albums with Brian Eno.

Join them both for a rare on-stage conversation about their creative journeys, the relationship between music and technology, and how artists can open up new ways to experience sound.

And there’s a whole day to experience: live performances from BISHI and SUUVI, LJ Rich’s Smartphone Symphony, The State of Emergency, and a conversation on the future of shared immersive experiences with Robot Koch, RUTHLSS and Sean Rogg.
