Slinky Malinky are a four-piece new-wave outfit, based in Cardiff, Wales. Inspired by the simplicity of poets like Brian Patten, Slinky Malinky’s songs are exercises in pointed and careful jabs at modern life. They say something, though what that is, is always somehow obscured.
Listen: Brüt has come unstuck in time. They woke up in 2024, opened the front door into 1978 and tumbled off to work in 1963. After a half-century of hijinks, the band’s got together to record their debut album, Nowhere to Nowhere
