Shrimp Eyes

South East London’s Shrimp Eyes are a deliciously distinctive catch in the alt-rock scene, serving up a melting pot of bright melodies, hedonistic riffs, and truculent, pulsating basslines. Like a prawn cocktail with an unexpected kick, their vibrant tunes pair perfectly with emotionally vulnerable lyricism, offering droll and poignant musings on the struggles of everyday life. Whether grappling with the pressure to make yourself sound interesting to strangers at parties or wrestling with the guilt of getting stuck in destructive habits, Shrimp Eyes expertly balance raw honesty with their signature sharp melodies. Equal parts tender and tough, they’re proof that even a humble shrimp can pack a punch. Their music has earned them support on 6music, Radio 1, and Radio X from the likes of Steve Lamacq, Jack Saunders, Huw Stephens and John Kennedy. They have also received support from across BBC Introducing in London, 6Music Introducing Mixtape and R1 Introducing. They have also been featured on several editorial DSP playlists including Spotify’s Hot New Bands and Melomania, Apple’s New In Alternative and Deezer’s Freshest Bands Around.

Damp Matches

Damp Matches, a Norwich-based band, offers a unique blend of alt-rock, trash-hop, and anthemic indie. Their sound is characterized by big, punchy riffs, thunderous drum lines, and frontwoman Helena Lewis's soaring vocals, often complemented by bassist Will Calvert's hip-hop influences. They are known for their raucous, high-energy shows and are considered ones to watch on the UK rock circuit. In April 2023, they released the single "Sweet Nothing," which explores the struggles of substance abuse. Recently, in April 2025, they performed at The Portland Arms, Cambridge, as part of a tour package with The Karma Effect and Silveroller.
