Phwoar is a fizzy indie-alternative-rock duo from Birmingham, known for their DIY sensibilities and catchy tunes. Helena plays drums, and Paul plays guitar, with both sharing vocal duties. They formed during the first Covid lockdown and recently released their EP "Flowers Through the Concrete" in April 2025, which features themes of defiance and hope. Their latest single, "Waiting for the Sun," is a raw, emotive anthem about resilience, and they are gearing up for upcoming releases. Phwoar's music blends '50s kitsch sci-fi geekiness with catchy garage rock, indie, and pop sensibilities.
