Now Ex – Now Ex is the musical pseudonym for East London alt pop artist Nick Hampson. Known alongside Now Ex for his filmmaking, this is cinematic pop that was built for the silver screen, and makes the listener the protagonist. It’s captivating, layered pop music that’s as much emo as it is orchestral, as much optimistic as it is bleak and defeated.
Originally coming up in the Royal Opera as a child soloist, Nick’s voice is tinged with classical character, whilst remaining discernibly contemporary, inviting comparisons to artists such as London Grammar, Sam Smith and Jeff Buckley. This unique vocal style is combined with highly emotive storytelling and then wrapped up in an infectious pop package, creating a truly distinctive sound world that’s entirely his own.
Now Ex launched during the pandemic and accrued a global army of devoted fans across his first two EPs, whilst playing a series of packed out London shows along the way, including legendary venues like Omeara and the Camden Assembly. 2023 was a big year for Now Ex, with sold out debut shows all over Germany and a beautiful acoustic show at the iconic St Pancras Old Church in London. February 2024 will see his most substantial tour so far, with shows in Czechia, Germany, Denmark and Sweden. On 17th October, Now Ex finishes his Welcome To The Feeling Tour with a very special hometown headline show at infamous London venue, The Garage.
OH BABY - Following on from the success of their two previous EPs plus The Quietus commissioned single ‘Not Enoughʼ with American artist Kelley Stoltz, the duo emerge from studios sessions for their debut LP to play some one-off live dates.
Their music is made with the idea of the dancefloor being the end of the journey, with all the emotions and drama that get continually played out on those few square metres. It is a distinctive sound shaped as much by early 80ʼs post-disco as todays DIY Art-Rock bands, or The Pointer Sisters meets Working Mens Club.
Neon Fields - Neon Fields is an electrifying and dynamic British alternative band with a distinctive identity that was formed in 2020. The trio from the southwest UK pushed the boundaries into a genre-bending territory, sharing music remotely and refining their sound in isolation due to lockdowns. The result is a unique, sophisticated style that captivates audiences with cinematic soundscapes, industrial tones, and creative narratives.
Based in Southwest, UK, the band consists of Ed Barrett (vocals), Chris Phillips (drums), and Piers Ward (keyboards/guitars). Drawing from diverse influences, they seamlessly traverse multiple genres to deliver their unique brand of music. Their early releases have received enthusiastic approval from critics and fans alike.
In the short time since Neon Fields arrived on the scene with their exhilarating release, Light Them Up, they have continued to release material that resonates with a continually growing fanbase.
Neon Fields’ passion for music is evident in their creative and innovative approach to songwriting, as they strive to push the boundaries of what is possible in the genre and are undoubtedly a band to watch out for in the future.
