Sweet Unrest is an indie rock band that formed in 2022 and is based in London. The band describes their music as "Gritpop," drawing inspiration from Britpop, grunge, poetry, and punk. Their sound is characterized by "aggressive apathy" and explores the tension between delicate sensitivity and furious, energetic impulses. Sweet Unrest's music has been described as a fusion of psych-garage rock with the infectiousness of Britpop classics. In October 2024, Sweet Unrest released their vinyl "Falling For You / Peace of Mind" under No Distance Records, which hit number 12 on the official Vinyl Singles Chart. They also kicked off 2025 with a bi-weekly residency called "Sweet Spot" at The Camden Eye, celebrating grassroots music. The band is scheduled to perform at Lakefest in Eastnor, Herefordshire, between August 6th and 10th, 2025.
