BOOKEND - Bookend is the electronic duo formed by Brazilian poet/vocalist Michelle Ricciardi and Japanese producer Masaaki Yoshida. The project started after the success of their collaboration on Masaaki
’s solo work as Anchorsong with the track
“The Ocean” in 2021, which has reached almost 3M streams to date on Spotify.
With almost 10 years of friendship, they have always bonded over music, and it felt it was just a matter of time before Bookend was born. Masaaki has always admired Michelle
’s songwriting with unique melodies and soft vocals, so they decided to explore how their creative work could flourish together. Bookend is fully collaborative and mixes English and Portuguese with rhythmic poetry alongside very distinctive and engaging beats, filled with ear worm melodies.
In one word, Bookend can be described as playful. The duo are currently finalising their first EP, and can
