About the event

Indierock

Gotobeat is excited to once again team up with The Prince Albert in Brighton to welcome Jimmy live on Wednesday, 28th January.

Jimmy are a Brighton based four-piece band who don’t like to confine themselves to one genre, having a mostly alternative/indie rock sound but, with each member being inspired by such different genres and bands this ends up showing in their unique sound. For fans of bands and musicians ranging from indie bands such as ‘Wolf Alice’, punkier sounds such as ‘Amyl and the sniffers’, Britpop and shoegaze artists such as ‘Blur’ and ‘Lush’ as well as more dancey tunes such as those by ‘The dare’ and ‘LCD Soundsystem’. They’ve got a loud sound and striking outfits and would love for you to come and have a dance!

Elandra

Elandra is an art rock band with a touch of psychedelia. Fronted by Italian-born Paolo Siviero, their music blends indie undertones and infectious melodies to create a vibrant, guitar-led sound with electronics and ethereal harmonies. Drawing inspiration from artists like Tame Impala, Radiohead, The Strokes, MGMT, and Empire of the Sun, Elandra's sound features emotive lyrics and dynamic rhythms, promising a genre-blurring experience. **Latest News and Endeavours:** Elandra released their self-titled debut EP on April 23, 2024, showcasing their ability to traverse differing genres while retaining their unique sonic stamp. The EP includes tracks like "I Don't Know," "This City Is Not For Me," and "Thousand Steps". Elandra performed at The Hope & Ruin in Brighton on March 18, 2025.

Hot Rats

Hot Rats is a nostalgia tinged rock/pop outfit with infusions of soul, jazz and indie; a modern spin on a classic sound - think tape machines, fuzz and harmony.
