JACKALS - High energy supercharged 4 piece indie rock band from London. A blend of pop and rock influences with catchy hooks. Something for everyone!
PERMANENT (JOY) - Permanent (Joy) is the new project from former members of the Liverpool-based Indie band Blondes. After successful tours in the UK and a massive viral hit with their song "Coming Of Age" that has now hit 20 Million Streams and 3 Billion impressions on TikTok, the band came to a premature end due to personal circumstances, leaving songwriters and founding members Alex & Dan to embark on a new journey with a moodier and more surrealist slant of their brand of Indie Rock.
Their debut single "Josephine", the first release on Coastal Sound Recordings, is the opening chapter in a concept EP written about life, death, and grief, told through the story of an eponymous character and her widowed husband. Drawing comparisons to the unique songwriting of bands like The Flaming Lips, "Josephine" balances scuzzy lo-fi folk with melancholy lyricism that touches on loss, memory, and love.
SHOCK HORROR - Shock Horror is a band taking inspiration from the sounds of Post Punk, Post Rock and Electronica. Melding together frenetic, hooky melody with brooding, down-tuned atmosphere, the four-piece are building a reputation that walks the line between catchiness and experimentation
Their short career is already littered with highlights: a glowing review from Idles frontman Joe Talbot at The Louisiana; Headlining a sell-out Halloween show at The Crown in Bristol; Support slots with some of the hottest bands such as, Premium Leisure, Blue Bendy & The Clockworks; recording singles "Nothing New, Nothing Real" and "Anxiety" at legendary local studio Safehouse with Mike Bannard; featuring on Dave Gilyeat's BBC Introducing Oxford show; recently appearing on live performance podcast 'Shed Sessions' to play unreleased material.
