INDY NEWLAND Indy Newland is a scruffy, transgender hiphop artist and skater from London. When his studies at Leeds Conservatoire suddenly came to a halt during lockdown, Indy found solace in listening to jazz-influenced, 'old-school' hiphop; leading him to learn how to produce and subsequently rap also. Since then, he's performed in venues across the UK such as Belgrave Music Hall, Headrow House, Peckham Audio and the Jago. Indy’s sound is a kaleidoscope of the music he grew up with; hiphop, jazz and soul, with deeply personal lyricism. Vocally, Indy draws on classic RnB and Jazz singers like Erykah Badu and Amy Winehouse, while his rap and production style hints at Hiphop artists like Action Bronson, Mac Miller and Tyler the Creator. JAIYE Jaiye is a Nigerian British-born alternative R&B artist who draws inspiration from the gospel sounds of her upbringing. With an eclectic taste in genres, she fearlessly blends her own ideas with the musical influences she has absorbed. Inspired by artists such as Teyana Taylor, Erykah Badu, Missy Elliot, and Tiana Major, as well as producers like Kanye West, Pharrell, and Jon Bellion, Jaiye creates a soulful and genre-defying sound that is uniquely her own. Wearing her heart on her sleeve, Jaiye finds solace and freedom in improvisational singing, where she is most comfortable. She frequently participates in open mic performances and can be found in the front rows of live shows, immersing herself in the artistry of others. Her appreciation for the arts is a source of pride, and she takes joy in sharing her own story through the music she creates. SANCHO A rapper hailing from stoke Newington, Sancho is hackney born and bred. Originally growing up in a creative household and being in such a diverse area has led to a wide range of influences and sounds used throughout his work. Even so, Sancho is an MC in the purest meaning of the word, When it’s time to start rapping, Sancho is someone you can rely on to always hit the mark. The attention he pays to his lyrics is prevalent while listening. Each track being filled with hard hitting lines and intricate references. Beat selection is another key point in his sound, marrying the two sides into a harmonious and captivating relationship.
