Horror Vacui blends early ’80s goth with post-punk in a horror-tinged sound. Their name reflects a signature style built on tight, guitar-driven songs, sing-along hooks and vocal lines many of which have become modern goth anthems as for “In Darkness You Will Feel Alright”. Fans of Corpus Delicti, Sisters of Mercy, Christian Death and Killing Joke will find familiar ground, but their catalog reaches far beyond nostalgia. Their lyrics explore identity, darkness, society and the human psyche with a raw, punk-rooted urgency that also defines their live presence and political ethos.
Hyde Park Book Club is a unique and bohemian multi-purpose music and arts venue in Leeds, known for being an events-led creative hub. Originally a cafe in a former petrol station and fancy dress shop, it now hosts a diverse range of live music, art exhibitions, spoken word, and community events across two spaces with capacities of 150 and 45 people. It also features an entirely vegetarian and vegan cafe and is celebrated for its quirky vibe and support for local creatives.
