More info here. 7:30pm ---> Doors -----> HEFF VANSAINT -----> MILK THERAPY -----> FREE SPIRITS FREE SPIRITS - FREESPIRITS is an alt rock band from Coventry, UK formed in 2013 by Brazilian-Italian brothers Carlo & Lucas Mariani, ex-members of britpop band Hurricane #1 (Creation Records). They craft their own blend of alternative rock with big guitar riffs, heartfelt lyrics, heavy beats and strong melodies; oozing loads of attitude, self-belief and high-energy. Mix Britpop, Grunge & modern Alt Rock and you'll get a rough idea of what they're about. Influences range from classic 90s bands like Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins and Oasis to more recent post-hardcore/punk rock underground groups like Teenage Wrist, Basement, Citizen and Title Fight. HEFF VANSAINT- Born and raised in Aberdeen, Heff has been playing in bands since she was a teenager. These bands featured a guitar-driven indie sound, synonymous with that classic Scottish tradition. Having moved to London in her early 20s, she formed an electro-pop duo that went on to amass a large London following. “I always wanted to do something a bit more personal and more reflective of my own experiences. After I left the duo, I went solo and I became more focused on making the kind of music that I wanted to hear growing up, from people that looked and sounded like me. I started writing music from a more personal place, exploring themes like loss, sexuality and telling the stories of the people and community I’ve found in East London.
