Floating across jazz-influenced indie-folk, Samms creates with whatever tools are to hand. Their first EP was recorded with just a laptop microphone and toy guitar, harnessing the full power of the studio in 2025. Childhood influences like Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake and Leonard Cohen blend with contemporary heroes like Adrienne Lenker, King Krule and Florist, to form Samms’ timelessly human sound. With full control over writing, production and engineering, Ewan’s timeless voice shines through all aspects of their music; one that is young, queer and hungrily ambitious.
Hailing from North London, 22 year old singer songwriter Alicia Clifford is a "wonderful new artist, captivating you with soothing vocals and delicate guitar work that lingers in the mind for days". She creatively explores the indie folk genre, with her poetic lyrics and floating melodies. Inspired by the likes of Adrianne Lenker and Laura Marling, her songs capture the essence of what it means to pull from personal experience with her honest songwriting. With support from artists such as Sam fender and Gigi Perez who reposted her covers on social media, Alicia is building a loyal community and growing her presence in the London live scene, carving out a new and exciting space in modern folk!
