Gotobeat presents the return of Castlecombe Drive live at The Water Rats in Kings Cross on Friday, 7th November 2025!
Castlecombe Drive return on the back of serious industry acclaim for their last EP “For Better Days”. Now, the English/Irish/French indie outfit are making noise in all the right places with a brand-new record, produced by Nick Tauber (Thin Lizzy, Marillion, Toyah, and Stiff Little Fingers). Its first single drops 1 week after their headline show at The Water Rats on November 7th. With a career that’s already taken them to the stages of BST Hyde Park and Shepherd’s Bush Empire, and onto the airwaves of Radio X, RTÉ 2FM, and BBC Radio 6, Castlecombe Drive are primed with their most exciting music yet. With bigger stages in their sights, this headline show marks the start of what’s to come — and you’ll be able to say you were there at the beginning.
Ruby James is a London-based musician making moody, heartfelt indie-folk that blends raw lyrics with catchy melodies. She draws influence from artists like Joni Mitchell and Laura Marling, and her songs explore love, faith, growth, and the messy in-between moments, always delivered with honesty and edge. Her recent single ‘Creature of Habit’ has earned radio play and showcases her as a compelling new voice in the indie-folk scene.
Carpark are trashing the rule book and re-writing the narrative of what a rock band ‘should be’. They are the fun, relatable and refreshing band that this generation needs. Weaving together nostalgia, power, and infectious melodies they create a sound that transports you straight into the heart of a captivating coming-of-age movie soundtrack. With Scottie on bass and vocals, Hattie on guitar, and Loda on drums, Carpark's music is a blend of the grunge sound of the 90s mixed with the electronic feel of modern rock completed with indie/pop vocals. The band’s childhoods were soundtracked by the rebellious anthems of pop/punk legends such as Paramore, Blink 182 and Avril Lavigne, whose influence has definitely made its way into the mix. Their music delves into personal experiences, touching on loneliness, heartache and existential crisis, For Fans of: The Beaches, Soft Cult, Nieve Ella, Beabadoobee, Chloe Slater, Holly Humberstone, Olivia Rodrigo and WILLOW. Last year Carpark released a 5 track EP called ‘Born To Be Average’ through Saviour Music, which was their first release on physical vinyl. The 12” EP was celebrated with a buzzy headline show at Moth Club and an intimate in-store performance at HMV Oxford Street. All 4 singles from the EP were championed by BBC Radio 1, played across various shows such as Future Sounds, Future Artists, The Radio 1 Indie Show and BBC Introducing Rock. The band have also featured in Kerrang magazine, Euphoria and F word. Carpark have proved themselves as an impressively powerful and dynamic live act from humble beginnings. From playing their first show out of a friend’s garage in Belfast to performing a headline gig at the iconic Moth Club in London, they have been quick to win over new live fans. Following their highly successful headline tour across the UK, they have since won over the crowd at Barn on The Farm, 110 Above festival and 2000trees and have been on the road with Lauran Hibberd, Kelsy Karter, Beth McCarthy, The Libertines and October Drift. Taking on the live scene one city at a time, Carpark thrive on the chaos. As an unsigned and self-managed band, they are driven by a desire to inspire the next generation and challenge the status quo.
