BURLY HERD -
Burly Herd are a band from London. Blending driving drum-machine rhythms, jagged fuzzed-out guitars and dreamy synth soundscapes, the band have returned to the live scene after a post-pandemic hiatus.
Formed in 2015, Burly Herd have experimented with genres from dream pop to psychedelic funk. 2023 found them shifting gears, adapting the disco-inspired electropop of past singles into a rawer, more aggressive post-punk sound. This summer will see the band joined by a live drummer for the first time.
Basslines never sit still for long. Guitars switch from delicate to devastating in seconds. Synths soar across the sky. Come join the Herd.
LA NOUVELLE MUSIQUE -
This London based three-piece mix elements of Folktronica with a vocal style that falls somewhere between Siouxsie Sioux and Trish Keenan of Broadcast.
Their music is rooted in cinematic psychedelia, with the orchestration on some of their songs reflecting a big screen aesthetic.
