Off the back of his performance at NHAC Jazz Festival and a sold out headline show at 91 Living Room last year, MckNasty partners with Gotobeat and Piano Smithfield for a very intimate headline show on Thursday 5th September. Tickets online £12.00 + booking fees £1.5 / 18+ MCKNASTY - Launching his professional career at 15 with a recording on Keziah Jones' seminal album "Black Orpheus," MckNasty has since played for and directed musical endeavors for some of the biggest names in music across various genres and territories. He has collaborated with Robert Glasper, Natasha Bedingfield, Wiz Kid, Stormzy, Alex Isley, and Wretch 32, to name a few. Known as one of the most charismatic figures in UK live music, MckNasty has built a reputation for bringing palpable energy to every stage he graces. MckNasty's passion and skill in transforming studio recordings into electrifying live shows saw him rise to the role of Musical Director. His distinctive live aesthetic brought a new dimension to British Black Music, working with artists like Wretch, Devlin, and Stormzy. Notably, he turned Tinie Tempah's performances into full-blown rock concerts,  “The show grew from small stages at small festivals to the Pyramid at Glastonbury and London’s O2. The bigger things got, the more my creative juices were flowing,” he reflects. Propelling Tinie from a tour support act to headlining his own arena tour and the famed Glastonbury Pyramid stage in under a year is no small feat and a first for a UK Black Music act. MckNasty released his debut 7-track EP, "As Things Grow," in 2020, marking his first steps as a solo artist. The EP features a drum-led fusion of jazz, hip-hop, gospel, and cinematic string arrangements, with the interlude "Frustration" narrating and connecting the songs to chronicle his story. Currently working on a new project set for release in 2025, MckNasty brings a wealth of experience, passion, and a deep love of musicality, inviting you to join him on his journey.
