About the artist

Zero Assoluto is an Italian pop rock duo formed by Thomas De Gasperi and Matteo Maffucci in Rome in 1999. They are known for their infectious melodies and deeply felt lyrics, blending rock and pop elements with strong guitar riffs, throbbing percussion, and soaring vocals. Their music has also incorporated R&B and hip hop influences. The duo gained significant recognition with their 2005 single "Semplicemente," which reached number two on the Italian charts and remained there for 30 weeks. They have also participated in the Sanremo Music Festival multiple times, notably in 2006 with "Svegliarsi la mattina," which topped the Italian Top 40, and in 2007 with "Appena prima di partire," which led to a collaboration with Nelly Furtado. In recent endeavors, Zero Assoluto celebrated over 20 years of their music career with a highly anticipated event at the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome. They announced a new "Club Tour" for October 2024, with dates in Turin, Florence, Verona, and Bari. This tour is organized by Artist First and aims to boost their discography and generated royalties. Their music catalogue, including master and publishing royalties, was listed on the ANote Music platform in July 2021 and has since distributed over €20,000 in royalties to investors. There is also speculation about Zero Assoluto potentially being part of the Sanremo 2026 cast, representing a "nostalgia quota".
