Zaz, whose real name is Isabelle Geffroy, is a prominent French singer-songwriter known for her distinctive, often raspy, and emotion-filled voice. Her musical style is a vibrant blend of French chanson, jazz, French pop, soul, acoustic, gypsy swing, folk, and world music. She rose to international fame with her self-titled debut album in 2010, which featured her breakthrough hit "Je veux". Zaz has sold over 5 million albums worldwide and is recognized for her captivating live performances and dynamic stage presence. In her latest endeavors, Zaz was announced as a new coach for season 14 of France's version of *The Voice*. She released two new songs, "Je pardonne" and "Sains et saufs," on March 18, 2025, which are slated to appear on her upcoming sixth studio album, expected in the fall of 2025. She is currently finishing the recording of this new album and is set to embark on a world tour starting in June 2025, with some initial dates already announced and quickly selling out. Upcoming tour dates also extend into 2026, with performances scheduled from April 21 to August 27 in various locations, including Munich, Hamburg, and Bruchsal. Recently, in October 2025, she had to cancel some concerts due to aphonia (loss of voice) while on tour for her album "Safe and Sound." Other recent releases in 2025 include singles like "Mon cœur tu es fou," "Une passerelle vers la mer," "On peut comme ça," and "Cerca de Ti (Mon amour)."
