Ye Vagabonds is an award-winning Irish folk music duo composed of brothers Brían and Diarmuid Mac Gloinn, originally from Carlow and now based in Dublin. They are known for their harmony-rich folk music, which blends traditional Irish and European influences with American traditional music and elements of the 1960s folk revival. Their sound features intricate vocal harmonies and a multi-instrumental approach that often includes guitar, bouzouki, mandolin, and fiddle, while also incorporating original contemporary compositions and traditional material. The duo has received multiple accolades, including three awards at the 2019 RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards for Best Track, Best Album for "The Hare's Lament," and Best Folk Group, and additional awards in 2021 and 2022. Their latest endeavor is the announcement of their new album, "All Tied Together," which was released on January 30, 2026, via Rough Trade's River Lea label. The album, recorded completely live in a Galway house, features singles like "On Sitric Road" and "The Flood," with the latter addressing themes of the housing crisis. The band also announced a 2026 Irish tour to accompany the album, with dates in cities including Belfast, Dublin, Limerick, Galway, and Cork, and they have ongoing tour dates across Europe and the UK. Additionally, Ye Vagabonds are scheduled to join the National Symphony Orchestra for a collaborative performance at the Tradition Now festival in Dublin in September 2026.
