Wyldest, the musical project of London-based singer-songwriter and producer Zoë Mead, creates a distinctive sound blending indie, dream pop, shoegaze, alternative, and synth-pop, sometimes self-described as "doom pop". Known for her melancholy vocals, entrancing guitar riffs, and reflective lyrics, Mead often explores themes of love, grief, and self-discovery. Wyldest recently released her fourth studio album, "The Universe Is Loading," on November 14, 2025. This album was preceded by singles such as "Old Flame," "After The Ending," and "All It Would Take Is A Phone Call". In support of her new album, Wyldest is scheduled to embark on a UK tour throughout February and March 2026. Beyond her band work, Zoë Mead also composes scores for independent films and video games, showcasing her versatility as an artist. The project is noted for its remarkable self-sufficiency, with Mead writing, producing, engineering, and creating all artwork and videos herself.
