About Willowake

Willowake is a Los Angeles-based alternative indie-punk trio from the South Bay, comprised of JR Polanco on vocals/guitar, Gavin Alvarado on bass, and Dax Corcoran on drums. They blend 90s alternative rock with new wave and modern indie-punk, delivering gritty alternative rock with fresh indie energy. The band has quickly risen from backyard shows to sold-out venues, fueled by millions of TikTok and Instagram views. Their 2023 fan-favorite "I See Ghosts" earned radio rotation on KROQ, and their 2024 debut EP, *An Alter Ego*, was co-produced by Jakob Armstrong. Their latest endeavors include the single "Echo Odd" and their brand new EP, *Having Bad Dreams*, both showcased during a "Jam in the Van" session in February 2026.
