West 22nd is an Austin, Texas-based indie rock band formed in 2022 by University of Texas students, composed of Logan Madsen (lead vocals), Gabe Acevedo (rhythm guitar), Jeremy Ancheta (lead guitar), Jet Beck (bass), and Douglas Blatt (drums). The group describes their sound as "carousel rock," a blend of indie rock, pop, folk, and surf rock, known for its dynamic energy and autobiographical lyrics. Their breakout single "Sunburns" amassed over two million streams on Spotify, and they released their debut EP, "All the Way Home," in August 2023. In a significant milestone, West 22nd made history in October 2024 as the first band entirely composed of current University of Texas students to perform at the Austin City Limits Music Festival. Most recently, West 22nd released their debut full-length album, "Nowhere To Be," on April 4, 2025, which includes tracks like "Virginia Highlands," "Savannah," and "Laugh It Off." They have been on a U.S. tour in support of the album and have upcoming tour dates throughout the summer of 2026, and released a new single "Time Machine" in March 2026.
