Buy tickets for Webmoms concerts: jazz beats • lo-fi beats • alté
Webmoms, the musical project of Cornwall-based multi-instrumentalist Karum Cooper, is known for an eclectic sound that melds jazz beats, lo-fi beats, alté, neo-soul, R&B, and hip-hop. Cooper's musical background is diverse, having previously played guitar for the alt-rock band Hypophora, drums for the prog-rock outfit For The Oracle, and bass for pop artist Daisy Clark, before establishing himself as a solo artist. His unique approach to music blends raw DIY sensibilities with sophisticated soundscapes. In terms of recent endeavors, Webmoms released the single "Slow Burn" in 2024, which is part of his four-track EP *For Us By Us*. This track is particularly noteworthy as it marked the first time Webmoms featured exclusively on a recording, showcasing a more intimate side of his artistry. A "Slow Burn (Small Pond Session)" video was also uploaded to YouTube in November 2024. Furthermore, in a December 2025 interview, Cooper discussed his evolution to incorporating his own vocals more prominently, with his most recent EP being entirely vocal. He also leads the Webmoms Live Ensemble, which offers jazz-fusion reinterpretations of his music, and actively collaborates as a producer with artists in South Africa and Nigeria. A new project was slated for 2024.
