waterbaby, also known as Kendra Egerbladh, is a Stockholm-based singer-songwriter whose sound blends Swedish pop-R&B, indie R&B, and bedroom-pop with elements of experimental electronica and soulful melodies. Her music is often described as nostalgic, tender, and lush, exploring themes of love, heartbreak, and introspection. She gained international acclaim with her 2023 debut EP, *Foam*, which earned her two 2024 Swedish Grammy nominations for "Newcomer of the Year" and "Composer of the Year". In her latest endeavors, waterbaby is set to release her debut full-length album, *Memory Be a Blade*, on March 6, 2026, through Sub Pop. The album includes the previously released singles "Amiss" (May 2025) and "Beck n Call" (November 2025), the latter featuring her brother, ttoh. Her new work delves into deeper, more personal narratives, influenced by past relationships and self-reflection. waterbaby has also been recognized by Spotify, being selected for their "RADAR: Early Noise 2026" program, and recently curated an exclusive playlist for NME titled "Wake up, yearn."
