About Voice of Baceprot

Voice of Baceprot is an Indonesian all-female metal trio, often incorporating elements of nu metal, funk metal, thrash metal, progressive metal, rap metal, and metalcore into their sound. Comprising Firda "Marsya" Kurnia (vocals & guitar), Widi Rahmawati (bass), and Euis Sitti Aisah (drums), the band originates from Garut, West Java. Known for challenging gender and religious norms, the hijab-wearing musicians use their music to address significant social issues such as women's rights, environmental concerns, and anti-war themes. Their debut album, *Retas*, was released on July 13, 2023. More recently, they released the mini-album *TRANSISI* in early 2025, preceded by singles like "Mighty Island" and "Put The Gun Down" in early 2025. Voice of Baceprot made history as the first Indonesian band to perform at the Glastonbury Festival in June 2024. They also performed in Japan in June 2025 and were featured in BBC 100 Women 2024. The trio became ambassadors for a Vans Warped Tour-inspired capsule in March 2025 and collaborated with Persigar Garut on a new jersey in April 2026. While no current tour dates are listed, they are scheduled to play Copenhell in 2026 and are expected to announce new international performances.
