VILLANELLE is a UK-based indie-rock band fronted by Gene Gallagher, son of Liam Gallagher, alongside guitarist Ben Taylor and bassist Jack Schiavo. The trio, formed in 2023, is known for a sound that blends grunge, indie rock, and alternative rock, with influences from bands like The Who, Buzzcocks, Nirvana, Deftones, Black Sabbath, Smashing Pumpkins, and My Bloody Valentine. Their latest endeavors include the release of their debut single, "Hinge," in September 2025, described as a grungy, high-energy track about paranoia from sleepless nights. VILLANELLE is currently working on a full debut EP and embarked on a UK headline tour in December 2025, having previously gained recognition as an opening act for Liam Gallagher's "Definitely Maybe: 30 Years" tour. They are quickly gaining momentum on the live scene and are anticipated to appear on major festival lineups.
