About the artist

Vetle Nærø, a pianist and composer from the serene coastal town of Ålesund, Norway, discovered his love for music early in life. He began formal piano lessons at the age of nine, immersing himself in the works of Chopin and Rachmaninoff. Over time, his artistry evolved as he explored the pioneering minimalism of Philip Glass and Arvo Pärt, while also experimenting with band projects. Despite these varied influences, Nærø felt a growing need to craft something uniquely his own. At just 14, he composed his first piece, marking the start of a deeply personal musical journey. By 18, he released his debut album, By Heart (2018)—a spontaneous, one-day recording that captured raw emotion and creative impulse. His follow-up album, Introspection (2021), showcased a more structured, composition-focused approach, which he now views as an important stepping stone in discovering his artistic identity. Nærø’s evolution culminated in his third album, From Moments (2023), a deeply personal 12-track collection that invites listeners to pause, reflect, and embrace the present. Described as his most authentic work to date, the album demonstrates his ability to convey what words often cannot, channeling emotion and meaning directly through his piano. 2025 sets the release of All Moments Must Pass. Vetle Nærøs music continues to shape his voice in the ever-expanding world of contemporary classical music, offering compositions that resonate with quiet intensity and profound emotional depth.
