Veronica Fusaro is a Swiss-Italian singer-songwriter known for her powerful voice and a distinctive sound that blends pop with elements of soul and rock, characterized by sharp writing and emotional depth. Born in Thun, Switzerland, she gained early recognition after participating in the second season of "The Voice of Switzerland" in 2014. In 2016, she was awarded the "Demo of the Year" and named "Best Talent" by Swiss Radio SRF 3. Her career highlights include performing at Glastonbury Festival and supporting Mark Knopfler. Her debut album, "All the Colors of the Sky," released in 2023, reached the fifth position on the Swiss Hitparade, and she received the Music Prize of her hometown, Thun. She followed this with her sophomore album, "Looking for Connection," released on October 24, 2025, which she describes as her most personal statement yet, exploring themes of closeness in a disconnected world. The album includes the single "Slot Machine," which addresses the impact of social media. Most notably, Veronica Fusaro was internally selected to represent Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, which will take place in Vienna, Austria. Her entry for the contest is the song "Alice," which was presented on March 11, 2026. She has expressed that her approach to Eurovision is to remain true to herself and deliver the song authentically on stage, focusing on creating a complete stage experience with an emphasis on her artistic presence, including her guitar. She is collaborating with director Fredrik “Benke” Rydman for her Eurovision staging. She performed "Alice" live for the first time at the Nordic Eurovision Party on March 21, 2026.
