Valery Meladze live history
Valery Meladze is a Georgian-born Russian singer, songwriter, actor, and music producer, renowned for his soulful baritone voice and romantic pop ballads. Often described as "the last romantic," his musical style is characterized as pop, pop-rock, and art rock, with some referring to his unique sound as "Meladze Music" – elegant, soulful, and timeless. His successful career, spanning over three decades, is largely attributed to the songs written by his brother, composer and producer Konstantin Meladze. In recent years, Meladze has been actively touring. He celebrated his 60th birthday and 30 years in his career with an anniversary tour in 2025, which included a performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London in April 2025, as well as concerts in Baku and sold-out shows in Israel, prompting additional dates. An "Encore Tour 2025" in the United States also marked this milestone. For 2026, he is returning to the European stage with a new concert program featuring fresh emotions, new songs, and beloved hits, with performances scheduled in various locations like Kemer, Batumi, Nice, and Phuket. He released the track "Зима так близко" in December 2024 and plans to re-release "Vera" in a new rendition in 2026, marking its 30th anniversary. Beyond music, in July 2025, it was reported that Meladze diversified his endeavors by engaging in real estate management and rental in Russia, owning a shopping center and holding an IP for television broadcasting. He has also faced some political controversy, including concert cancellations in Russia in early 2023 after a video showed him responding to a pro-Ukrainian slogan. In December 2025, reports of an alleged ban on his concert in Kyrgyzstan, linked to political concerns, emerged, though the country's Ministry of Culture denied knowledge of such a ban.
