Trance Wax is the alias of Belfast-born producer Ejeca, known for his unique blend of trance and progressive trance music. He initially gained recognition in 2016 for his anonymous, vinyl-only bootleg edits of classic trance tracks, which garnered support from notable DJs like Bicep and Nina Kraviz. In 2020, Trance Wax released his critically acclaimed self-titled debut album on Anjunabeats, featuring original productions. His latest endeavors include the release of his second studio album, 'Open Up The Night,' which dropped in September 2023 via Armada Music. This album, described as a sixteen-track journey through nostalgia-infused modern trance, marks a shift towards faster, more dancefloor-focused beats, incorporating elements of drum and bass and breakbeat. The album's announcement coincided with the official digital release of his much-anticipated 'Rhythm Of The Night' bootleg. Trance Wax has also recently contributed to the "25 Years Of Anjuna Mixed By Trance Wax" series, curating a mix that deep dives into the trance history of the Anjunabeats label from 2000-2010. He has also debuted on Armada Music with singles like "Open Up The Night" and has several recent singles and EPs released in 2024 and 2025, including "Hold on 2 U" and "Neva Let You Go." Trance Wax is also slated to perform at Dreamstate SoCal in November 2025 and Luminosity Beach Festival in July 2025.
