TOMOO is a Japanese singer-songwriter from Tokyo, born on June 28, 1995. She began her musical journey after being a finalist at a Yamaha Corporation-sponsored contest in 2013, and released her first mini-album in 2016. She made her major debut in 2022 under Pony Canyon's Irori Records label, gaining significant attention with her song "Ginger" in 2021. Known for her strong musicality, distinct alto voice, and percussive piano skills, TOMOO crafts lyrics that blend vivid imagery with philosophical depth, influenced in part by her college background in psychology. Her musical style also draws inspiration from artists like Joe Hisaishi and Studio Ghibli films. In recent endeavors, TOMOO held a solo concert at the Nippon Budokan in May 2025. Her song "Contrast" was used as the second ending theme for the anime series *Blue Box* in 2025, and her single "Lucky" served as the ending theme for *City: The Animation*, released on July 2, 2025. She released her second full-length album, "DEAR MYSTERIES," on November 12, 2025, and embarked on her largest-ever tour, "TOMOO HALL TOUR 2025-2026 'DEAR MYSTERIES'," starting the same month. More recently, she released the digital single "Sonare" on January 7, 2026. Her song "Koudai" became the new CM song for Taisei Construction Group on April 9, 2026. Looking ahead, TOMOO announced her "TOMOO Arena Tour 2026" for November 2026 and her new song "Otona ni Nattara" is slated to be the theme song for the movie *Crayon Shin-chan: Kiki Kaikai! Ora no Youkai Vacation*, with the single set for release on July 29, 2026. An analog version of "DEAR MYSTERIES" is also scheduled for release on July 9, 2026.
