Theo Bleak, the musical project of Dundee-based artist Katie Lynch, crafts atmospheric and introspective music blending alt-rock, folk-rock, shoegaze, and indie, often drawing comparisons to artists like The Sundays and Phoebe Bridgers. Her sound is characterized by evocative melodies and poetic, vulnerable lyrics that explore personal experiences, self-discovery, and the multifaceted nature of human emotion. Theo Bleak's latest major endeavor is the mixtape "Bargaining," released on December 18, 2025. This fourteen-song project delves into themes of grief and human connection, inspired by the journals of her late great uncle and chronicling a transformative year in her life. Prior to this, she released the EP "Bad Luck Is Two Yellow Flowers" in May 2025, which further showcased her signature blend of haunting melodies and emotive vocal delivery. She also made her North American debut at New York's New Colossus Festival and played various festivals across the UK, including The Great Escape Festival, in 2025.
