The Stews live history: jam band
The Stews are a dynamic four-piece rock band that originated from Auburn University in the fall of 2020, formed by Preston Hall (lead vocals, lead guitar), Blake Dobbs (rhythm guitar), Bennett Baugus (bass guitar), and Wyatt Griffith (drums, backing vocals). They blend hard rock, alternative, indie, and jam influences, creating an explosive sound that has earned them a reputation for captivating and high-energy live performances. The band released their debut album "What Was" in 2022, followed by their second full-length LP, "Chicken Fight," in July 2024, which they describe as daring and genre-defying. Their latest single, "Make It Out," continues to showcase their evolving sound. Having left college to pursue music full-time due to overwhelming demand for their shows, The Stews have become a perpetual touring machine, selling out venues nationwide and appearing at major festivals like Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. They are currently touring extensively in 2026, with performances scheduled at events such as Bonnaroo, Music City Summer Fest, Iron Blossom, and Bourbon & Beyond. The band signed with Wasserman Music for touring in June 2025, further solidifying their presence in the music scene.
