The Smashing Pumpkins are an iconic American alternative rock band, celebrated for their diverse and densely layered sound that integrates elements of gothic rock, heavy metal, grunge, psychedelic rock, progressive rock, shoegaze, dream pop, and electronica. Formed in Chicago in 1988, the band's core has consistently featured frontman Billy Corgan. The band released their album "Aghori Mhori Mei" in 2024. They have upcoming events planned throughout 2025 and Billy Corgan's new solo project, Billy Corgan and the Machines of God, will embark on a "Return to Zero Tour" in June 2025, celebrating the 30th anniversary of "Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness" and the 25th anniversary of "Machina/The Machines of God" and "Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music". Additionally, an operatic version of their classic album "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" is scheduled to run in November 2025 in Chicago.
