The Manky Melters are a French Celtic folk-punk band that formed in 2023 in Sélestat, France. This six-piece group is fronted by the charismatic female singer Giada, which offers a refreshing presence in a genre often dominated by male artists. The band comprises five seasoned rock musicians, including three members from the Celtic rock band The Moorings. Their sound is characterized by refined songwriting, a precise rhythm section, and a natural sense of melody, creating fiery, turbulent, and festive music. Their lyrics critically examine society while also encouraging listeners to embrace joy and let go. The Manky Melters released their six-track EP, "One More Round," in October 2023, featuring their original track "Shenanigans" and a cover of Connie Dover's "Going to the West". They are scheduled to release their debut official album, "Carry On," in 2025. The band maintains a busy touring schedule for 2025, with upcoming performances across France and Germany, including various festivals. They have also performed internationally, captivating audiences with their intoxicating sound and energetic shows.
