About the artist

The Heavy North is a Liverpool-based six-piece band formed in 2018, known for their garage blues and rock 'n' soul sound. Their music blends elements of soul, funk, and psychedelia with riffs, horns, and Hammond organ. In the summer of 2024, they released their debut live album and concert film, "Fire In The Furnace," recorded at a hometown show. The band consists of Kenny Stuart (vocals), Jose Ibanez (guitar), Andy Horrocks (bass), Jack Birch (guitar), Ste Penn (keys), and Mark Rice (drums).
