New Brunswick, New Jersey, is known for Rutgers University and little else, but those in the know will point out the city’s greatest export: the funny, heartfelt pop-punk of the Bouncing Souls. Together since 1987, the band has a story that's a checklist of DIY, whether it’s putting out their debut -- The Good, The Bad, And the Argyle -- on their own Chunksaah label or playing shows in backyards. Years removed from their humble beginnings, Bouncing Souls continued to push the borders of the punk sound they fell in love with as kids.
