The Beefs are an Australian band, led by frontman Sammy Smith, known for their self-proclaimed "pub-pop" sound that blends infectious rock and pop melodies with humor and a strong sense of Australian spirit. Formed around 2015-2018, their music often captures the essence of the "Aussie larrikin" with themes of mateship and relatable, tongue-in-cheek lyrics, perfect for a good time. They have collaborated with notable artists like Matt Corby, Kirin J Callinan, and Julian Sudek. In terms of recent endeavors, The Beefs released their sophomore EP 'Grillin' Jams Volume 01' in 2024, followed by 'Grillin' Jams, Vol. 2' in 2025. They have also put out new singles in 2026, including "Invisible Man" and "Headache". Their track "Full Speed" gained significant recognition when it was chosen by Speedo to soundtrack their worldwide Olympic campaign for the 2024 Paris Olympics, earning the band an ARIA nomination. The band has also been active on the touring circuit, supporting acts like DZ Deathrays on a national regional tour and performing at festivals such as Party in the Paddock, with more music and tours anticipated.
