The Ayoub Sisters are a Scottish-Egyptian classical crossover musical duo consisting of violinist Laura Ayoub and cellist Sarah Ayoub, renowned for their ability to blend Western classical music with Arabic and Celtic traditions, as well as incorporating pop, funk, and world music into their instrumental arrangements. Discovered by Mark Ronson for their "Uptown Funk" cover, they debuted at the BRIT Awards in 2016, leading to a record deal with Decca Records and a No. 1 debut album on the Official Classical Artist Albums Chart in 2017. Their 2022 album, "Arabesque," a celebration of Arab music, also reached No. 1 on the iTunes Classical Chart. In their latest endeavors, The Ayoub Sisters are celebrating their 10-year anniversary with a UK tour in 2026, which will feature an evening of music blending their signature Western classical, Arabic, and Celtic styles. As part of this anniversary, they are also premiering a new symphony, their most significant compositional undertaking to date, at Celtic Connections in Glasgow. Additionally, they released "The 21 (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) - EP" in February 2025. They continue to perform internationally, having graced stages at the Royal Albert Hall, Cairo Opera House, and Dubai Opera, and notably performed for King Charles III at his coronation in Edinburgh in July 2023.
