About the artist

Massachusetts-based metallists the Acacia Strain formed in 2001, initially utilizing three guitarists before eventually paring down to just one. The brutal, unyielding impact of their visceral sound incorporates metalcore, death metal, and doom metal, and between vocalist Vincent Bennett's furious growl and nihilistic lyrics and guitarist Daniel Laskiewicz's six-string assault, they emerged as one of the premier bands in the death metal universe, especially after signing to Prosthetic Records in 2004 for 3750, their third album. Later, they signed to Rise Records and featured two guitartists after Laskiewicz left the group.
