Tchotchke is an American power pop trio formed in New York City in 2020, known for their 1960s-inspired sound, girl-group style harmony vocals, and analog recording methods that contribute to a vintage sonic aesthetic. The band consists of Anastasia Sanchez on drums and lead vocals, Eva Chambers on bass, piano, keyboards, and backing vocals, and Emily Tooraen on guitar and backing vocals. Their music blends "sugar sweet" harmonies with "sharp, witty lyrics," drawing inspiration from acts like the Beach Boys, the Ronettes, and the Shangri-Las. Their latest endeavors include the release of their second album, "Playin' Dumb," on September 5, 2025, which was preceded by singles such as "Did You Hear?" (released May 15, 2025) and "Poor Girl". This album is described as more sophisticated and sonically complex than their 2022 self-titled debut, further leaning into their love for '60s girl groups and outsider pop. Tchotchke frequently collaborates with The Lemon Twigs, with the D'Addario brothers producing both of their albums and contributing instrumental work. In December 2025, they released a Christmas single titled "Tchotchkes" with The Lemon Twigs. Additionally, Eva Chambers played with Brian D'Addario in "The Michael D'Addario Trio" and contributed to The Lemon Twigs' upcoming album, "Look For Your Mind!", set to be released on May 8, 2026. The band also completed a tour supporting Hunx and His Punx and performed a show on October 31, 2025.
