About the artist

Tambour (aka Simon Leoza) is a Montreal based composer of instrumental music working in the world of theatre and cinema. His approach to composition and recording is intuitive, organic and visual, and involves acoustic instruments and a minimal use of electronics. Simon's music is described by his listeners as lively, detailed and cinematic, and has been performed internationally in the ambient and instrumental music scenes. Tambour's work is the result of extensive research in minimalist and neoclassical movements. His meticulous compositions build a dreamy yet uplifting narrative atmosphere. He has previously released three EPs as Tambour entitled Chapitre I (2015) , Chapitre II (2016) and Constellations (2019) with the label Moderna Records. He is currently releasing music under his other name (Simon Leoza) and his first full-legth album 'Albatross' was released April 30th 2021.
