About Taburete

Taburete is a Spanish pop-rock band formed in Madrid in 2014 by Guillermo "Willy" Bárcenas and Antón Carreño. They are recognized for their distinctive sound, which blends catchy pop melodies with influences from traditional Spanish and Latin American genres such as ranchera, boleros, rumba, ska, rocksteady, and occasionally electronic elements. Their lyrics often explore themes of love, heartbreak, and nightlife with a confessional yet ironic tone, resonating with a wide audience. The band has been active with new releases and tours. Their fifth studio album, "Matadero 5," was released in late October 2022. More recently, they have released several singles, including "Carta Blanca," "Choque de planetas," and "Torrente Presidente" in 2026, and "Cae la ciudad," "Cuando los hombres lloran," "Vino Y Cemento," and "110" in 2025. They also have an upcoming album titled "El perro que fuma" slated for 2025. Taburete maintains a robust touring schedule, with numerous confirmed dates across Spain throughout 2026, from July to December. In late 2024, they completed a Latin American tour, visiting cities in Mexico, Central America, and South America.
