SUUVI is a Cuban-Chinese multidisciplinary artist, cellist, composer, and producer known for her genre-fluid approach and emotional depth. A child prodigy, she began playing cello at age two and was accepted into Juilliard at ten, where she studied cello, piano, and composition before later redefining her artistic voice to integrate visual art, storytelling, and design into an interdisciplinary career. She combines her classical training with contemporary music, creating ethereal soundscapes and collaborating across genres including pop, R&B, hip-hop, and electronic music. In 2024, SUUVI debuted NXIS, her post-classical duo with Natalie Tenenbaum, featuring a collaboration with rapper D Smoke. She also released a collection of "Twelve Etudes" for cello and piano with Paul Leonard-Morgan. Most recently, she launched "Dark Therapy," an interdisciplinary project that combines neuroscience, music, and immersive storytelling to explore healing through sound, silence, and self-reflection, inspired by her personal journey with mental health and trauma healing. SUUVI is also a social impact advocate, with ongoing documentary projects focused on mental wellness through martial arts, the stigma of mental health in elite environments, and cultural identity.
