About Sunflowers

Sunflowers are a Portuguese psych-punk and noise rock trio from Porto, known for their raw energy, blistering punk, distorted guitars, experimental chaos, and existential themes. The band, initially a duo formed by Carlos de Jesus and Carolina Brandão, expanded in 2018 with the addition of Frederico Ferreira on bass. They recently released their fifth studio album, "You Have Fallen… Congratulations!", on November 7, 2025, through Fuzz Club Records. This album is described as a jagged, blown-out descent into psychological freefall, blending noise rock, punk, and warped psych, and features tracks such as "Chameleon Kid" and "Workworkwork." Sunflowers have also announced a UK/EU tour in support of the new record, with several dates scheduled in April, May, and June 2026, following recent shows in early 2026, including an appearance at Eurosonic. In 2024, they also released a two-volume compilation, "SFHC 2014-2024," celebrating a decade since their formation, and launched a newsletter called EVERYTHING ELECTRIC.
