Stormy, whose real name is Yasser El Malih, is a prominent Moroccan rapper and songwriter known for his versatile blend of Moroccan rap, Moroccan pop, and Arabic hip hop, often incorporating elements of raï, chaabi, trap, and melodic rap. He gained significant acclaim with his debut solo album "ICEBERG" in 2024. His popular tracks include "POPO," which became a summer hit in 2024 and was used as a jingle for a Moroccan telecommunications company, and "PIRATE," which also amassed millions of views and topped listening charts. In 2025, Stormy continued to be highly successful, ranking as the second most-streamed artist on Spotify in Morocco. His album "ICEBERG" was one of the top streamed albums, and his songs "MOON" and "PIRATE" were among the most listened-to tracks in the country for the year. He unexpectedly released the EP "OMEGA" in January 2025 to positive reception. Notably, Stormy made his Netherlands debut at the Nawafiz Festival in Utrecht in June 2025. He is also slated to be the first Moroccan rapper to hold a concert in Dakhla in April 2025, an event aimed at promoting cultural and artistic activities in Morocco's southern regions. This follows a successful 2024 tour across Moroccan cities, Paris, and Montreal.
